Purple cabbage contains twice the amount of vitamin C that can be found in green cabbage while green cabbage contains twice as much folate than that in purple cabbage.

Cabbages are rich in bioflavonoids, monoterpenes, and indoles that help inhibit tumors. These chemicals also defend against unstable molecules, called free radicals, when the body uses oxygen.
