Broccoli Cheese Rice

Ingredients A

Primera Rice – 1 cup, uncooked

Water – 2 cups

Garlic – 1 large clove, chopped finely

Butter – 1 tablespoon

Broccoli – 2 cups, cut into large chunks

Water – 2 cups

 

Ingredients C

Milk – 1 cup

Natural cheddar cheese – 4 slices

Parmesan cheese – 2 tablespoons

 

Methods:

  1. Saute garlic with butter in a pot. Add Primera Rice and two cups of water. Bring the mixture to boil. Then, cook the rice in low heat.
  2. In a separate pot, boil two cups of water. Add broccoli chunks to the boiling water. Make sure the lid is off to retain the bright colour of the broccoli. Cook broccoli in water just until it becomes tender. When it turns bright green, pierce it using a fork to check for its tenderness. It will be cooked completely later in the oven.
  3. Dish out the broccoli. Mix the remaining water with milk. Heat the diluted milk in a very low heat. Melt cheddar cheese slice and parmesan cheese in the milk.
  4. Now, pre-heat the oven to 200 degree celsius. At the same time, let the rice to finish cooking.
  5. In a baking dish, mix the cooked Primera Rice, broccoli and cheese sauce.
  6. Bake them in the oven at 200 degree celsius for 40 minutes.
  7. Carefully take out the bake dish and top with parmesan cheese and shredded cheddar cheese if you would like to adjust the taste.
  8. Primera Rice based broccoli cheese rice is ready to eat.
