Ingredients:
Primera Rice – 2 cups
Water – 4 1/2 cups
Tomato – 2 medium, diced
Milk – 1/2 cup
Onion – 1 small, sliced
Garlic – 2 cloves
Ginger – 1/2 an inch, pounded
Cinnamon – 1 stick
Cardamom – 2 pods
Clove – 2
Star anise – 1
Ghee – 2 tablespoons
Salt – 1 teaspoon
Methods:
- Heat the ghee in a pot. Add onion slices, cinnamon, cardamom, clove and star anise to the ghee. When you can smell the pleasant aroma of the spices, add pounded garlic and ginger, and saute.
- Now, add Primera Rice and water. Let the mixture boil.
- Reduce the heat to low when the rice mixture starts boiling. Cook in low heat until the volume of the liquid becomes half.
- Then, add milk and tomato to the rice. Mix them and let the mixture simmer. Reduce the heat to low and let the rice cook fully.
- Finally, sprinkle a teaspoon of salt and mix the rice.
- Primera Rice based tomato rice is now ready to be served with ayam masak merah and acar timun.
