Agritech company Nomatech Sdn Bhd is positioning itself as a key player in strengthening Malaysia’s food security through locally developed rice varieties, even as global geo- political tensions disrupt supply chains and agricultural inputs.
Led by MD and CEO Prof Emeritus Wickneswari Ratnam, alongside head of business development Sharifah Rahimah Syed Alias, Nomatech is leveraging scientific innovation and domestic production to reduce reliance on imports while enhancing nutritional value.
Founded in 2015, Nomatech was established to commercialise intellectual property (IP) developed in universities, particularly new rice varieties.
